translation notes:
The first few lines of the verses are references to each niigo member. pink pearl=kanade, iolite=mafuyu, topaz=ena, and ametrine=mizuki
the title is like, a lot of wordplay. toriko is the word used here for being taken captive and is phonetically identical to the "trico" part of the name of the song. a loge is like, a small separated off room. its seen in theatres sometimes as a little box where high class ppl sit which is sorta like the masquerade ball part of hte lyrics to me. Also its very close to "tricolor" which could refer to the fact that a large amount of the time onl 3 colors of gems are seen for the members of niigo besides kanade
the "it's alright if there's' secrets you can't say" part is sung by mizuki. Important to me that you all know this incase u havent listened to the song b4. also it replaces the "even these unhealable wounds" part of the first chorus's version of this line and its kind of. clunky to translate because it doesnt follow the "even (blank)" format. :(
the first verse in the og mentions trepanation which was an ancient practice of drilling a hole in someones skull. i just left out the word in my translation. i used to have it in there but the vocalyrics wiki translation changed my perspective on the line.
i translated "seikatsu" to "lifestyle" but its like, livelihood? how people shape their lives. other translation ive seen translate it as "life" simply but i feel like that sort of... misses part of the meaning. i think its specifically talking about like, a way of life, etc, lifestyle.
